Grant Guidelines

Herizon is currently reviewing its grant guidelines and policies and is not currently accepting any LOIs or requests for invitations at this time. Please check back on July 1 for updates.

Funding Guidelines & Restrictions

Herizon is a social change organization and as such only funds social change programs in the US and Israel.

US organizations located outside of Florida must have a program or presence in Florida to be considered.

Grants are awarded for either project support or general support, but only feminist social change organizations are eligible to receive general support funding.

Herizon allocates grants between $10,000 and $25,000 per grant award. All awards are 2-year grants, meaning a grant of $10,000 is $10,000 per year for two years. We provide project and general operating grants, but only feminist social change organizations are eligible to apply for general operating support.

We will only accept one LOI per organization per grant cycle.

Herizon only allocates multi-year grants, with the second year of funding contingent upon grantees’ attainment of pre-determined benchmarks.

Organizations are eligible to receive a maximum of 2 two-year cycles of funding (for a total of 4 years) and thereafter will be unable to apply for at least one year after their funding period is complete.

Herizon will award grants and special allocations only to organizations that have IRS 501(c)3 tax designations or fiscal agents with IRS 501(c)3 tax designations.

Israeli Organizations/Projects

Proposals for grants in Israel will be accepted by invitation only.

No more than half of all grants awarded each year fund projects in Israel.

All applicants should note the following restrictions.

Herizon does not fund direct service, meaning a program or project focused on meeting immediate needs.

Herizon will not grant scholarships or make allocations to individuals.

Herizon will not allocate grants for event sponsorships.
